I am an Australian-born, self-taught artist that decided to make the move to Whistler over three years ago. Whilst in Australia, my preferred medium was oil, acrylic and gouache on large canvases, playing with symmetry and alien-like forms. I was heavily influenced by artists H.R. Giger and M.C. Escher.
As I settled in Canada, I was captivated by Alphonse Mucha's Art Nouveau style which led me to exploring geometry, human anatomy, birds, and mandalas. This new direction changed my preferred medium to inks and technical rotring drawing pens. This gave me the ability to work more detailed than ever before, mainly using line and dot work which has proved to be a very time consuming, but extremely rewarding method.
